German camera maker Leica on Friday introduced a brand new compact digital camera to its D-Lux collection in India, priced at almost Rs. 1,000,000. manual settings and a variety of video capabilities will be available by mid-December in the country, the company said in a statement.
With its 17-megapixel resolution and maximum ISO sensitivity of 25600, the Leica D-Lux 7’s four-thirds sensor can also be perfect for capturing photos in low ambient conditions, the company claims.
The digital camera includes a Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34mm f/1.7-2.8 ASPH fast zoom lens (equal to 24-75mm in 35mm format) which, together with the four-thirds sensor of the digital camera, offers a higher high quality image, says Leica. The D-Lux 7 includes a Wi-Fi module, touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, USB Type-C charging functionality and a high-resolution 2.8-megapixel digital viewfinder.
The back of the camera features a 3.0-inch 1.24-megapixel LCD touchscreen to make reviewing images much easier – allowing fingertip management of the camera. The Leica D-Lux 7 is also said to be capable of shooting video in 4K resolution at up to 30 frames per second.
Additionally, Leica D-Lux 7 is the main digital camera in the D-Lux range which can be used with the free Leica FOTOS app for Wi-Fi switching of digital camera images to Android units or iOS, the company claimed.
