The band expansion is the result of a growing demand for more TETRA channels operating at the same time, especially in large cities.

The extended TETRA band (low 380-386.5 MHz/high 390-396.5 MHz) has been introduced in some European countries. The band expansion is the result of a growing demand for more TETRA channels operating at the same time, especially in large cities.

To support communications, AntennaPro has announced two new high performance ETSI compliant 2-channel PRO-MCU380-EXT units designed for this wide band in the public safety and mission critical TETRA markets.

The PRO-MCU380-EXT-2 is commonly used for mobile control centers (Low TX 380-386.5 MHz / High RX 390-396.5 MHz), and the PRO-MCU380-EXT-2-REV is the reverse frequency version.

These two new products have an extremely compact design, advantageous for command centers and control rooms.

Use of apps
When working in public safety, reliable communication is essential. The network infrastructure must have reliable RF equipment so that workers can communicate 100% effectively in an emergency.

The new PRO-MCU380 series is a perfect product to support operations, whether for police, firefighters or emergency medical services. They have high isolation and low insertion loss thanks to carefully chosen quality system components such as isolators, circulators and helical duplex filters. Isolation between all Tx/Tx, Tx/Rx and Rx/Rx ports is rated at better than 60 db. Maximum input power is as high as 25W per port.

Three and four channel versions, coming soon
Amphenol Procom also announced the release of a three and four channel version of the PRO-MCU380-EXT and PRO-MCU380-EXT-REV to further expand its TETRA product line.
